Abuse Prevention

Abuse Prevention Program - Over 6000 DFW Children are harmed by inappropriate behavior on a daily basis. The children and adults involved need assistance in dealing with the issues related to abuse. Families need support to deal with the emotions and changes that may impact their family. With your help, TCaware staff will work on issues related to trauma, understanding of abuse stages, grief, and strengthening of family functioning.

Topics include:


* What a parent can do to decrease chance of child being abused.
* Skills to teach children to decrease their vulnerability to abuse.
* The future, changing the abuse cycle.
* Community resources and support systems.
