Be a Hero, Be a Community Captain

Community Captains are an invaluable asset to their communities. You have the ability to make a positive change in lives of your neighbors, by being in command of a food drop off in your neighborhood.

Here is how you do it:

o Community Captains know their neighbors the best. Talk to your neighbors and see how many families are in need of emergency food bags. Dont forget about the ill, shut-ins, and anyone else who might not physically be able to make it to the drop location. You will need to arrange delivery to them.

o Have a Sign-Up Sheet. [Name, number of adults, number of children, number of infants]

o Arrange a day/time [between 10a-2p] for drop off by contacting Crystal Winer 817-296-5529. Typically drops are scheduled (4-6) weeks out. We deliver to a location once a month.

o Crystal will call you (3-5) days before appointed drop day for a head count.

Day of Drop off:

o TCaware Mobile Food Pantry will arrive approximately 30 minutes early to set up.

o While food bags are being distributed, TCaware volunteers will offer benefits counseling for public and private benefits and further assess the needs of residents.

At Tcaware, we will do our best to provide all we serve with food and information that can be used to enrich their health as well as their lives.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve your community.
